Ok, question here for regulars. We have gone to Dependable too but we used to go with my bro in law who had a huge double cab pick up. We'd park way in back and watch from the bed. Anyhow, I have a small cross over SUV type vehicle; what is the consensus on opening the back hatch up and watching the movie like that? Is that accepted? Thanks!

People do watch that way. Signs say if you do, make sure the hatch is secured in a manner that keeps it below your roof line, so as not to block the view of others.

A lot of cars out there, almost all of them thirsty for gasoline or diesel. Seems like a Sheetz will be welcome.

I don't know of any (in cold climates anyways) that are open year round

During the heyday of drive ins, 40 years ago, more than a dozen such venues in Pittsburgh were open during the 1st week of January 1975.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Flesh Gordon were being shown on many outdoor screens here in western PA.

When I was young, we went to the drive-in with the family.

For older teenagers, the drive-in had a totally different purpose. You didn't watch the movie.

I'm pretty sure Dependable in Moon is open year-round. Or at least they were at some point in the last few years.

They can do that because we don't really have much of winter. It's only actually cold for like two weeks.
