As I sit here, they are flying low and loud over my neighborhood and freaking me and the cats out.

I know it's almost un-American to not like this, but honestly...it's bad and it's not just one time, they practice the week before and have multiple shows.

And, we live close to the stadium and the airport, so they do flyovers for the first games and patriotic holidays ... So it's multiple times a year I get to go through this.

As we are getting closer to retirement, I'm really getting picky...

Flyovers are great, but rare here. There was one last year if I remember right. Along with holidays it would mean the Stillers or Bucs would be playing significant games. I assume yours today is for the Dodgers.

You assume wrong. Why would the Blue Angels be rehearsing in Oakland for an LA flyover? Plus, they mostly do air shows and they let the regular fleet squadrons handle sporting events. San Francisco fleet week is taking place.

As for the question, I recall them performing out in Latrobe for that airshow at some point over the last couple of years. No shows over downtown that I can recall.

Fleet Week. The Angels are doing two shows today and I think it's over. Now I have to coax four scared cats out from under the bed. The media did a poor job of announcing this. The first practice I ended up shaking, on the floor, crying. When I say right overhead I mean right overhead.

Remember the plane that fell out of the air after 9/11 --yeah, that really freaked me out, and has stayed with me. Before that, I honestly didn't have a problem, and was never aware of flyovers, and I am sure we had them...

The Blue Angels were in Latrobe in June.
They probably flew over Pittsburgh, as Latrobe is closer to Pittsburgh than Oakland is to LA.

Game flyovers, especially in this area, are not common.

I LOVE them flying overhead... puts a smile on my face for sure!
