I think you are mixing up Perrysville and Perry. Perrysville is North of West View and is a very nice and safe area.

I think he's just referring to the section of Perrsyville Ave that the pizza shop is on. Perrsyville is the main street in Observatory Hill.

No I am not mixing anything up. I grew up there and I am aware of the area you refer to.

Oh -- yeah. I know this in my head, but since it's all along Perrysville Ave it's easy to conflate the two.

I don't think anyone thought you're mixing up the actual areas, just whether we call it Perry or Perry Hilltop or Perrysville...I use Perrysville without thinking to mean both the North Hills area past West View AND the neighborhood on the North side, but Observatory Hill is probably a better name for the city neighborhood since it avoids the Perry vs. Perrysville confusion...right? Of course as a mere transplant I am happy to be corrected on all this!

I visited the area that is now called Perrysville (aht at that Perrytown tavern, anat!) for years and years and don't remember people referring to it as such until more recent times. Either that or I just didn't notice.

I understood what you mean, but I just want to avoid confusion for those out of the know that may visit this forum.

If he has time to go to hockey tournaments, then he has time to take a phone call from Aklin.

Nope there are colloquially two.

If your a long term resident and live in specific parts of the West End/Stowe Rocks or Northside neighborhoods such as Northview Heights Estates/the Allegheny Common East Apts/Allegheny Dwellings/Three Rivers Manor/Perry South's distinct and separate enclaves/"Upper Manchester"/Alpine Avenue-Sandusky Street areas (old & "new" "Hoodtown")/Cal-bride Place (Cali-Kirk's BrightonPlace and "Mad Cave" areas)/ Marshall-Shadeland, than you know Perrysville as the 2600-2800blk area of Perry Hilltop (streets in between N Charles and Marshall Ave: Ellis, Leland, Timerwood, Norwood, Linwood, Hawkins, Shelton, Marshall, Kennedy, Veterans, Daisey, etc) claimed by the Tre Eights or 888 N***** for the last 25 years.

However, if you live in Bellvue, West View, Shaler, Ross, Franklin Park etc you know Perrysville as the other area.

The hockey tournaments are his parenting duty, not a recreational pursuit.

In any event, the gentleman has left the building already, but the community is still there enduring a lot crime, and Mr. Aklin and the rest of Mr. Peduto's staff is still in charge on Grant St.

Even though the owner of Mandy's is no longer in business, that doesn't mean the citizens of the area don't need to have the neighborhood cleaned up, so it isn't too late for City Hall to act even if this pizza shop guy is no longer in town.
