At least for shoppers heading to South Hills Village, Donaldson's Crossroads or Tanger Outlets.

Peters Township students are attending today as a makeup day at the strike stricken district.

Don't even go shopping on Black Friday. The whole thing is a made-up farce (the Saturday before Christmas was the business shopping day of the year for over a century, until 2008 or so), and the "deals" are terrible.

Even if you're not shopping today, if you are out and about in the South Hills today- maybe heading to Meadows to earn a little bit at the slots for your Christmas shopping or visiting the mass transit museum in Arden- just watch out for the kids. There will be school buses and kids out on the road.

Realistically how many kids will go to school today?

Do they have Monday off for the first day of deer season?

Peters Township has 4200 students, its not a tiny district.

Next Monday is another day for traffic caution region-wide.

You don't want to hit a deer on our highways and byways. Something about getting shot at seems to really get your deers moving.
