I made two visits to Pittsburgh to get to know the city better and look at homes for sale. I think your plan to do this will help you determine if Pittsburgh is a good fit for you. You may also want to consider renting at first. I would have done that myself but I had two dogs and three cats and knew it would be next to impossible to find a landlord willing to rent to me. I had done a lot of research and was pretty sure that I was going to like living here. It turned out to be the right decision.
