The Pirates aren't doing badly this year compared to most teams in mlb.

The Cubs are just out of the park, so to speak.

Matters not. Bucs wouldn't be in front in any division.

Pittsburgh Pirates to promote Jameson Taillon for start Wednesday vs. New York Mets

Looking forward to this.

This patchwork bullpen is killing them. The starters don't go deep enough (or Clint yanks them .... that's another story), so you need lights out from the middle relief. There are a couple guys who shouldn't be on the roster, and I don't really have much confidence in any of them. Last nights game was won they should have won.

Middle relief on pretty much every team stinks. That's why they're middle relievers. Tough situation for Hurdle last night given Tuesday's DH and this ridiculous one day Colorado trip, plus no days off in a month which led to having six starters and a short pen.

But you know what? When you go 3-16 in RISP situations, you pretty much seal your fate.

I realize that, but this team is trying to build a team based on good 7, 8, 9 inning relief. Starters go 6 (Clint sees to that) and the game is supposed to be over. See KC. It's not working. These guys are getting lit up.

The one day trip was stupid and quite frankly not fair.

Yeah. The 1 game deal isn't a huge deal. Locke giving up 11 runs is.
