Wow. Will be interesting to see what the Sharks do returning home as they look like a steaming pile of poo thus far for about 95% of the games

Well the Pens outplayed them in every direction, BUT it went to OT! That being said, anyone can win this series still. Sure the odds are with the Pens, but it is far from over. There is NO question we are a better team than the Sharks, BUT they could have won even being outshot 30-22. Again, who knows who will win the series. It is hard to win this thing, but the Pens are the better team. The Sharks could still win.

The posts and crossbars should've gotten one of the "stars of the game".

The trainwreck that resulted in Kessler's goal is the single worst defensive effort I can recall in a Finals. The entire Sharks team was culpable on that one. Pretty much every Shark touched the puck there and none of them did the right thing.

Not sure I was expecting or thinking the Pens would have a 2-0 lead after the first two games. What adjustments could the sharks make? The few bits I heard the Sharks coach last night, he feels their team is close which makes me wonder what they'll change for Saturday. The 2-0 lead is great but just as the Pens got 2 wins, they could do the same at home. Hopefully the Pens can win one of two at home.

Would love to see them close it out in 5, as our 3 Cups were all won on the road. Been visiting the message boards of other teams. That hate for the Pens is very widespread.

No team has ever actually lost to the pens; especially in the playoffs. We only win because:

1. We cheat
2. The refs cheat for us
3. Gary Bettman makes a call in for his favorite team
4. We play dirty
5. Crosby crys
6. The media being complicit in loving only the Penguins & overlooking the above

Or some combination of those. Never superior play, just read any article or message board of opposing teams.

There's also this as well, the modern hockey/sports leagues as we know today get their first start here basically. So much for everyone who claims Pittsburgh has no hockey history before Lemieux.........

Logan Couture cracks me up.
Crosby cheats on the faceoffs by.... timing them! He actually said, "He times them".

Yeah.
Exactly what you are suppose to do, crybaby.

first hockey game in pittsburgh

on december 30, 1895, the pittsburgh press made mention of a “great international hockey and polo tournament” opening game at the casino. The newspaper reported that a team consisting of ten players from queen's university played against a group of local players from western university (today the university of pittsburgh) and pittsburgh catholic college of the holy ghost (today duquesne university) and a half-hour of exhibition of hockey was played before the polo match. The paper noted that 2,500 to 3,000 fans showed up to watch the game, despite claims of bad weather. No score or records were reportedly kept but the paper did note that the team from queen's university outplayed the pittsburghers, who had never played the game before.
