Hello, Can anyone give me some advice on where to go for a weekend of horseback riding and a bed and breakfast. I live 15 minutes from downtown to the south of Pittsburgh, but since I've been working all the time the past few years, I feel like I owe it to myself to just get away for a weekend. Ideally, a nice scenic drive for 2-4 hours away is fine. I'll pop in some great driving music. Arrive at a quaint little bed an breakfast with a good friend. Rest. Go horse back riding. rest. sleep. Breakfast. Coffee. Meander about. Drive home with music. Rest. Now all is missing is a start date, and a destination. Please let me know if you know the perfect little spot where I can go. I'd like to go within the next two weeks if possible. Thank you so much for reading. ~PJ

You ought to try where we are going to tomorrow. It's called Wellsboro, PA. It's in the North Central mountains of PA, around a 4 hour drive north east of here. Look on the Pennsylvania forum boards, a photo tour was done. It's beautifull, you won't want to leave, and has everything you are looking for.

I stayed at a B&B right on the main road to Cook's Forest, it was really nice, but i can't remember the name. I also went horseback riding, played Putt-Putt (mini-golf), and raced go cart. I went in the fall, so it was too cold for swimming and water slides (dinky ones), but it was still a great time! We also went to Brookville and walked around, it was such a cute town.......loved it!

Default horseback riding in pa

Look up "the flying w ranch" kelleteville PA. Is is bout 30 minutes from tionesta, and about 1 hour from franklin pa. About 3 hours from north hills of pittsburgh. They have cabins, a lodge, and camp sites. They also have horses available, or you can take your own. They own about 10,000 acres they you can ride and are adjacent to the allegheny national forest. There is also a restaurant on site, with good food and awesome breakfasts. very nice people!
