Having just moved to PA from another state, I have questions regarding getting my vehicle registered.

Motor Vehicle Information for New Residents

The website states I must have the title with me when applying for my PA registration, however, the vehicle is financed, so the loan company holds the title until it's paid off. Not really sure how to move forward with registration without it though...

The lean holder needs to fill out the mv-1 form if the auto is leased they need to fill out the mv-1l form. I would go somewhere like South hills messenger or Jack maggs to get it started.

Hey there AtlBraves49, you've arrived!

I sometimes wonder about posters, from the past, who have requested specific information regarding relocation etc. and rarely do I catch their return to this forum. How are you and your wife doing?

I'm moving to PA in June and will be going through this same process.
I have a vehicle financed with State Farm. I'm hoping they can help with the process.
The PA DMV info on registering a financed vehicle isn't exactly easy to understand.

The weird thing about PA is that vehicle registration is privatized. An advantage of this process is that you have something of an advocate who can tell you what is needed in your own situation. A disadvantage is that you pay them on top of the state fees.

Start here to find someone in the area you are moving to who performs these services: https://www.notary.org/Search/Notary/

If you are an AAA member (or sometimes not), generally a local AAA office can also help you.
