You mean at Pitt? ESPN could not have meant the Steelers were included in that statement. I watched that game today. The camera shots showed a bunch of empty seats. There is NO WAY today's game was larger than the largest Steelers attendance.

Many people, moreso non sports fans devalue what winning does for attendance. If you win they will come.
And by creating a tradition. Get college kids used to going to the games. Give out more tickets.

They've been playing at Heinz Field for 15 years. Few want to go and watch a lousy or insignificant team/s. Since youre obviously not a sports fan, look at the stands at PNC Park these past few games. It's tough to give tix away. It's simple. If Pitt keeps winning people will fill the seats. If they lose they won't.

And again, attendance at Heinz Field for Pitt games is higher than it was at Pitt Stadium.

A lot of people haven't attended or watched a Pitt game since they last played PSU.

Geez!

Half the stadium was NOT PSU fans.
It was a standing room sellout. Yes, they sold SROs.
There has been a shuttle since day one.

Get with the program!

It was a very fun game, and I just about lost my voice cheering.
