A pit bull who lunges at his living room window every time someone walks past his house. His people had some kind of plastic window installed, but someday he's going to burst right through.

In all seriousness. I used to find Eastern Box Turtles all the time when I was younger, I haven't seen one in the Pittsburgh area since the summer of 1997. I have seen the Bald Eagles over in Hays, foxes here and there, found what I believe is coyote scat and saw what I think was a roadkill coyote on 279 near the McKnight exit. But, I have deer on my street and in my backyard in Brighton Hts, not to mention I see huge groups of turkeys all the time in my neighborhood. The pheasants blew my mind though. What happened to toads? I haven't seen a toad in years. I see flying squirrels, those yellow finches, humming birds and all sorts of birds or prey regularly.

I had a peacock in my apartment over night... but I don't think he qualifies as wild. Weird maybe.

Didn't get a chance to see it, but a bear was on my south terrace and it broke my humming bird feeder. There is no mistaking bear paw prints and no other animal can break a chain like that. Thankfully it was reported to migrate north. I would have never thought we could have a bear in my area. There is a coyote in FC, so I am told, but I haven't seen it. Foxes are around. Not really wild, but I saw a deer right in front of Target in East Liberty. Just standing there in the middle of the road.

Not here, but I have to mention I saw a Jaguar in Florida. It was way too cool.

When I was in college in Louisiana, I used to see armadillos scooting across he street, possums too. Here, I once saw a fox moving swiftly along Squaw Run Road in Fox Chapel ironically. I never saw one before or after that, despite there supposedly being a ton around.

North Side: endless crows, hawks, gold finches, deer, turkeys, raccoons, possums; strangely enough, not too many squirrels in my old neighborhood.

Wilkins Township: hawks, finches, deer (it was a thrill a few weeks ago to see them taking a dip in the stream across the street from my house), and lots of birds that I haven't figured out yet. We have a resident ground hog, a few raccoons, and I'm fairly sure that bears wander around. And OMG, the spiders.
