I can't read the article because I am not a subscriber, but it appears as if Main Event Entertainment is looking to take over the Latitude 360 space in North Fayette Township.

http://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburg...take-over.html

A Google search of Main Event North Fayette brings up this result; however, I can't see the page it came from: "Main Event (A somewhat similar company) recently informed us that they will be submitting plans for renovations within the next few weeks. No time table for..."

I think this will be a positive move. If Latitude would have been run correctly, and not had major employee turnover (due to not being paid), I think it would have been a bigger hit and lasted a long time in the western suburbs. Anything is better than a vacant building.

It appears that Main Event has already started the process with Latitude's former Jacksonville (FL) space:

I went to Latitude 360 a few weeks after it opened back in 2012 and enjoyed it. I think it had great potential to do something that really isn't in that area to the best of my knowledge. Hopefully this new company can bring the same concept but have better management so it can be a success.

I agree. I had been there a few times after it opened for general "hanging-out" and checking it out. Other times, I had been there for a comedy show, bowling, and even a private event. It was nice and I agree, filled a niche that didn't really exist (at least in one space) in the Pittsburgh area. I hope this changeover pans out and works out.

Great news! There is need for a suburban night life option in this area and this will refill the need.

I keep seeing commercials about Main Event now being open in this space.

This article claims tomorrow (5/2) as the opening day: http://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburg...ning-date.html
