I am not going to delve into this political quagmire, but I would like to point out it is possible to live without Facebook. It have been “clean” for about 15 months now (10 months deactivated, 5 months with a full delete), and it has been nothing short of amazing.

Some Republicans skipped town for the Obama inaugural in 2013.
Republicans to skip Obama inaugural, head out of town | Capitol Hill Blue

More importantly, this is a ten page thread that has nothing to do with Pittsburgh and started by someone who doesn't even live here. People might devote a little more of their political attention spans to legislative and executive actions and a little less to recreational outrage theatre, or whatever you call it.

Really can't blame anyone for leaving town for the second term inauguration.

It does have to do with Pittsburgh as Mike Doyle is one of the representatives.

Went to school with one of Mike's kids. I remember he got in trouble with the cops and his dad got him off.
Ever since then I don't vote for Doyle.

As a constituent of Mike Doyle's district, I was extremely happy about his decision not to attend the inauguration. I hope that he continues to represent the collective will of his voters by resisting Trump's presidency wherever possible.
