I'm a bit of a picker so to speak and love the concept of buying low and selling high and was wondering if there's any good thrift stores around here where you can find antiques for a fraction of the cost. So, any suggestions? So far, I only know of Red, White And Blue. I have not been there myself but my boyfriend bought me a piece of glass ware from there once and it ended up being a 1950s Bryce El Rancho candy dish.

If anyone knew where to buy low and sell high, why would they tell you? That is how a good spot is ruined.

Any thrift store is going to be luck of the draw as they are all stocked by what people happen to bring in to donate during that particular time.

Is the Pittsburgh Furniture Company still in existence on Butler? If so they had some nice pieces. They stocked a lot of mid century pieces as well at reasonable prices.

Neighborhood consignment on Murray ave in Squirrel Hill gets a lot of great old stuff. I can't speak for the prices of their antiques though.
