While PA seems to be a Clinton state via the polls and by the similarity of Ohio's vote and economic make up, both of the candidates will be barn storming through Pittsburgh and the region very soon. Anyone recall when it was announced Pittsburgh was being scouted as a debate location? The Peterson Event Center at the University of Pittsburgh was to be the venue. Anyone out there ever hear why Pittsburgh didn't make the debate location list ?

Well, Clinton's family is from the Scranton area, so she does definitely have a "home field" advantage.

Looks like I'm going to have to change my affiliation from Independent to Democrat, so I can vote in the primary. Every other year it's already been decided by the time we had our primary, so I wasn't all gung ho about voting.

Clinton wins. Now what? - Yahoo! News (broken link)

You're right though, I judged prematurely...I see now she won Ohio and Rhode Island, in addition to Texas, so she has a chance.

Not only did she win Texas, Ohio, and RI (however, she is STILL down in delegates and will mathematically have nearly an impossible time beating him in delegates), but I don't think Obama has a prayer in Pennsylvania.

The Clinton's are VERY much loved in the eastern part of the state, including Scranton and Philadelphia. Hillary Clinton spent a LOT of time in Philly during her husband's terms. Plus, our demographics are very similar to Ohio, the economy isn't booming, and we are the second "oldest" state after Florida (in terms of population age). Clinton OVERWHELMINGLY has the middle-class, blue-collar, and older generation votes.

Furthermore, our own Governor is backing her!!!! I think the only thing Obama can pray for is NOT a devastating loss.

The only strange thing is that it appears neither one, at this rate, will have enough delegates to officially win the party. That means the superdelegates and courts will have to come into play, of which are currently favoring Clinton. But this process is sticky and nasty and could really fracture the Democratic party. Theoretically, Clinton could be ahead in delegates depending on what they decide to do with the Michigan and Florida primaries. Even that is a mess of a situation!

I just hope the party unites in a hurry cause while Obama and Hillary duke it out, McCain will have nothing to do but sink his teeth into the country and I will vomit If I have to endure another 4 to 8 years of a Republican president.

I did see today that Clinton hinted at the possibility of a duel-ticket with her and Obama on it. She said that they both realize how much the party would love it and how powerful of a ticket it would be, however, discussing it was still far too early.

HmmMMmmmmmmMMMmmmMMMmMmmmmmMMmmmm. If Clinton and Obama are on the same ticket, McCain should just forfeit. LOL. I mean, the black, hispanic, and woman voters will flock to that ticket almost in its entirety. LOL.

Rock Lobster - I do believe that the Peterson was not chosen because usually the PA primaries just mean nothing.

What? What a generalization. Awful, really. And sad, that someone would assume because I'm a woman, I will vote for a woman, whether she is qualified or not (and I do not believe Clinton is.)

Also, CBS news did a piece last night on who really does have the blue collar votes tied up. And they concluded that it is pretty much split between Clinton and Obama. But that McCain may actually have the edge out of all three.

Personally, I'm just fine with the party being split. All the better for McCain, the candidate that I happen to support. (Remember - not all Republicans are the same.)
