Sort of older news, but I search for it and didn't find anything. Sorry if this is a repost, but I was a little surprised they opened in Hazelwood. Good for them.

They bake bread for at least a few restaurants and may be looking to expand that business. In that context, it seems low risk to open there given that even if their storefront doesn't work out or takes a long while to take off, it can still be successful.

By the way, love both their bread and their pastries. Definitely get there early if you want selection!

They open tomorrow (Mon. March 19, 2017). I sent an e-mail, to which one of the owners responded:

Quote:
Hello Jay,

We are opening tomorrow Monday 20th at 9:00.
Address is 5013 2nd Ave, Pittsburgh 15207.

See you soon,

Lisanne

Great update, Jay! I look forward to trying it out!
I'm glad they took a location there. I hope it spurs some additional growth as Hazelwood could use more accessible groceries.

Great pastries but nowhere to enjoy them in the store, at least in the Lebo location. A few shabby tables. And coffee from a thermos.

The Lawrenceville one used to have seating, but they took it away. Apparently according to city code you can't have public seating without a public restroom.

It's really good. We go there, get quiches for breakfast, pastries for dessert, and bread for the next day. Always just take it home.

They could have just let customers use their bathroom. This makes me like them less.
