I was watching the Steelers game in Lawrenceville yesterday and took an informal poll from the residents I was watching the game with. I don't think it will stay open long, but of course we will see.

what are their reasons? i kind of agree that there is nothing special about it but dive is pretty much the same thing and seems to do okay and just opened another location in the south side. maybe an over saturated market of those places.

Whether it fails or not, this will not be the reason. I don't know which way you consider it "too far down butler" but either way that's silly. It's between Roundabout and The Abbey, both very popular.

NPL is better than Primanti's. Far better. Primanti's is overrated. It's one of the worst restaurants in Pittsburgh.

Pizza isn't half bad, but those sandwiches are nothing spectacular. At one time before NPL became local franchises, they really did have the best fish sandwich in town. My wife and I still stop by the original one on Babcock, but just a tip, only buy bottled beer, the draft is always flat. I do like the free popcorn, though.

My buddies and I got lost trying to find the NPL in Lawrenceville, but we made good time.

A mediocre sports bar concept from a mediocre suburb offers a mediocre product in a fashionable neighborhood...

Not promising.

True. The people that enjoy NPL and those that enjoy L-Ville are wildly divergent groups. That's really the point here...

sorry, bud. l'ville is as basic as they come these days. not that there is anything wrong with that. believe it or not craft breweries and pour overs are mainstream these days.
