Tonight's dinner conversation was on the subject of property taxes. What are the odds there will be another court ordered reassessment? Like in 2022? The 10 year anniversary of the 2012 reassessment. It seems like a decennial event. I almost wonder if a reassessment could happen before 2022. Not that I want one or am advocating for one. Because I am not.

There's a better chance for the state to pass their bill to jettison property tax then there is for another assessment here that soon

No assessment here for quite a while. It's a political hot potato and nobody wants to deal with it. The state legislature won't even touch it, even though we should have a more uniform statewide system like other states. Didn't I read that Butler and Washington counties are planning to or are in the process of reassessment?
