Maybe head over to the British Airway site and check out the cost of a nonstop to London....

Default HQ2 finalists open up about Amazon's search committee: 'It's been radio silence' since the visit

Behind the paywall but I found this interesting:

"Another official who is in a finalist city was surprised by how concerned the company's officials appeared to be about the potential impact on the city. “They were smart, knowledgeable and had really done their homework,” the source said. “They realized the scope of what HQ2 could be for the community they chose and they asked thoughtful questions about how HQ2 could be a catalyst to build the community and be part of the solution to its challenges.”
Amazon sent a general email update to finalists earlier this year, saying they were reviewing the sites, but did not mention a rumored shortlist. Officials from Arlington, Texas, in May said a site the city had submitted as part of the Dallas proposal was eliminated. Amazon declined to comment about whether it has a shortlist or has eliminated any finalist sites.
Most officials interviewed said they haven't heard from Amazon since the email, while officials in one city said they have communicated with the company, but not about HQ2.
“It’s been radio silence,” one source said."

It will be interesting to see the final outcome when it's announced. I'm hoping that Amazon will dissect their decision so that we can finally find out how they came to it. I would imagine that it will be a combination of everything and not just the tax incentives, population, college grads, etc.

The one thing that stays in the back of my mind about Pittsburgh possibly getting HQ2 is the story of how Places Rated Almanac named Pittsburgh the most livable city in the country several times. While Pittsburgh didn't score highest in any of the categories, it also didn't score terribly in anything, either. There were no extremes one way or the other. Perhaps we have that going in our favor this time, too. None of the 20 cities has everything that Amazon wants.

You should break down each of the 20 Amazon finalists by metro job growth over the last year. That would be a better value to this thread.

Yeah, I'm not sure Amazon cares much about 4.4 vs 4.0. If they do, it's probably low in their list of criteria.

A higher unemployment rate would actually be beneficial for Amazon, but AccuWeather is really just intent on bashing Pittsburgh

Really how is it more beneficial? Did amazon state that? Please cite your source.

Full employment means employers have to be more competitive to attract workers.
