Corporate welfare is a given. There is only on answer to it. YES, we will give you something if you come here. That is simple business. The past is over. Be a progressive thinker.
You always limit the available options in your responses to people, Why do you accept that corporate welfare is a given? That is status quo. Do you know what progressive means? (That last one is rhetorical.)

What? Has nothing to do with 'holding on to the past'. Amazon is the present. They were the future 20 years ago. Corporate welfare is only a given when people have that very unhelpful attitude. Things change constantly and quickly, especially with software based companies, and there will very likely be a big change going against the software giants in the future. Nobody knows how long in the future, but people are going to get tired of companies getting unfair deals because of their size, and eventually all big companies make big mistakes, Amazon will likely be no different. Others will step in with more innovation and people will get tired of Amazon and want to try new things. This happens in all consumer industries. Its based on human nature, one thing that really doesn't change much.

All meaningless. A bird in the hand. You can't predict the future, you can only capitalize on what is going on now and the next decade or so.

You have to give away some to get the big dog. Just like if you have a big strip mall. you give a better deal to the anchor store that will bring in the business and then the little stores pay more per foot.

Really just basic business. I mean, come on it really isn't that hard to understand. I am trying to convey it in the simplest of terms. There is a reason why ALL cities give to the big dogs. They want the little companies that follow them. Simple.

I gotta be honest, sometimes I wonder if I should charge a little something for my education on this forum. I mean the Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed a suit after my thread on UPMC. He is following my playbook to a tee while everyone on here was arguing with me. Schooled! Then there is this thread as I try my best to educate you folks on business. Again, schooled.

I am glad I came on here to help. Sort of a charity in a way.

You're a legend in your own mind. You fight UPMC and support Amazon? weird. Amazon tries to do the exact same thing - pay little to no taxes at the expense of their competitors. well theres been a growing backlash against Amazon for a while for various reasons, it will probably continue to grow. people tend to tire of big companies and monoplies / oligopolies. i've already noticed anecdotally people turning away from Amazon, time will tell but surely you should at least in principal denounce the corporate welfare, or you have no consistent standards.

Meaningless? lol. I think your post is meaningless - just support the biggest company at any cost? absurd

If you believe the studies, none of those pan out as good for the region giving up the huge tax breaks. same with sports stadiums. if they really worked, there would be no corporate taxes at all for big business. I think its just a PR play by politicians.

Where to begin with such a statement? Um, a "nonprofit", vs a for profit? Um, a company saving lives vs. a company providing stuff that can be bought anywhere by anyone!!!!! ANYONE!!! NOT SAVING LIVES!!! HELLO? CANCER? Geez!

Seriously, I wouldn't know where to begin to try and make you get business. You can't compare these two companies at all.
