I hope the suspect is captured without harm, and given a fair trial. Call me crazy.

Yeah, with his history he’s already had too much taxpayer money spent on him.

This is terrible... news like this always is.

Have been seeing the posts about this all over my Facebook... I didn't know the officer, but, I hung out with his father when we were kids in high school. I haven't had any contact with the officer's father since high school, as I went away to school and then to Asia... but, the father was a great guy, and all I'm seeing about the officer is that he was a good guy, too.

Ugh... just terrible...

He seemed like a class act that became an officer of the law for all the right reasons. RIP

I spent Thanksgiving with family in Westmoreland county. The young cop was known around town for his aggressive behavior against certain segments of society. Keep in mind that my family is middle class and mostly educated. Four members of my family ranging in age from 25 to 65 have been repeatedly pulled over by this young cop. In all cases for no apparent reason. My cousin was pulled over but quickly let go once the officer noticed his last name. My family members are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Its sad but at the same damn time you cannot serial harrass members of your community and expect no repercussions.

While I certainly expected this type of response, perhaps you should read the article.

The only bright side in this is that arrests were made, another unlicensed gun and another criminal is off the street for good.

Perhaps you should read the article. It has zero commentary regarding anything our friend wpipkins is discussing. While I can never stand behind the idea that anyone should lose their life over racism, it does seem very apropos to the time to be mindful of what may have occurred. We know next to nothing of the incident other than the fact that the officer was killed and seemingly fired no shots (which is almost never ok).
