I have lived in Pittsburgh (Shadyside) for almost a year now. I am trying to find a nice house to rent (garage, yard, square footage- the whole kabit and kaboodle) but have had no luck!... Until today- I found what seems to be the perfect house. It's located in Penn Hills.
I have tried to read between the lines in a couple of threads but most of it seems like bickering. I understand there are some "good" and "bad" parts. The bad being around Homewood & Wilkensburg.
The house I am looking at is right by the Alcoma Country Club.
Can anyone tell me about this area of Penn Hills? Is it bad/good/in between?
Also, anyone who knows a place to find houses for rent other than craigslist, can you help me out here? I would like to stay close to the city- nothing as far out as Monroeville or Robinson.
just out of curiousity... what did you decide about the house?
