So much so that when the fall term begins there are guides that take groups of freshmen on the busses to show them where things are ad how to get where thy want to go.

def isn't but def making a comeback.. new club (scenario), pizza shop (pizza fire), and a spin gym (6ycle).. things seem to be on the upswing

We went to the waterfront all the time as undergrads. I was hesitant to mention it since I didn't know how bus route changes and the presence of the East Liberty Target had changed that, though.

I want to say thanks again to everyone who helped with information and let you all know we had a very nice visit. We covered a lot of territory - saw the beautiful nighttime view of downtown from the aptly-named Grandview Ave, checked out Carson Street and Oakland at night (we ended up getting some good vegan Thai food near campus), walked around Shadyside, and took a run along the river downtown. We spent a half-day on campus and in Oakland. The Cathedral of Learning is really incredible and the views from the higher floors are great for seeing the campus and getting the lay of the land.

We made it out to B52 in Lawrenceville for breakfast - very cute area and great vegan food there! We checked out the pretty cemetery, too. We also checked out CCAC.

Overall, we thought the city and the campus were very appealing. I wish we had more time!! It is definitely staying on the "list" and it is likely that he will do an overnight visit once all of his options become a little clearer.
