This is what you're talking about, right? How the hell did that happen?

Exactly. Another example of double-standards, and racism.

Watch the video. Even after getting her head slammed off of the floor, she was holding on to the inside of the door so that they couldn't remove her. Hell, if i go somewhere and take a whooping like that - I'll be fighting to LEAVE afterwards - not fighting to stay inside such an establishment.

I am a big dumb guy, if I take a beating like that trying to use the bathroom, I am using the bathroom.

Well, this is certainly about race - not the attack initally, but the situation predictably evolved into race thanks to the protesters.

I don't blame them. I lived in a mostly black areas in my early years, and again at other times. These were all inner city, with generally a working class to destitute. Over time, I grew to believe they have it tough because they are given a notion that they are conspired against.

Long ago, I actually was a [misguided] socialist (but not a registered member of any workers party) and a supporter of Jesse Jackson. In (I think) 1992 I was THRILLED to see him speak at the National Mall, not far from the Washington Monument. Eventually, I realized he was not about education and old school family structure and discipline - well, that is not the message I got from him as much as it was just to hit back (metaphorically speaking), be proud, and relish your being an underdog, etc.

In a nutshell, I did not agree with that attitude and life strategy and realized Jackson's thrives as a demagogue, nothing more.

The protestors you see at Milano's? The are the product of this thinking. I guarantee you there are MANY african - americans who are NOT there (because they have responsibility, and jobs, and kids) shaking their head, going "well, he should be locked up, but she's a drunk who messed with the wrong people".

Word of advice, people. If your pizza shop and your president have both been accused of racism within the same week, maybe now is not the time to publicly ask that president to "help" you out, especially not in a city where 80% of residents didn't vote for the guy.

https://thegrio.com/2018/01/18/yelp-...-video-attack/

I'm not going to argue about whether any of the allegations of racism are *true* -- just, c'mon, maybe there's a basic PR lesson to be learned here. As all you free market capitalists already know, a business doesn't have the right to succeed, only the opportunity -- and part of running a successful business is understanding your community and planning your PR strategy accordingly, especially during a time of heightened scrutiny.

So Trump and the pizza place have both been in the public eye for 20+ years and only now they’re being accused of being racist. That’s as ridiculous as those protesting against the shop.

How is this now about Trump?

This goes out to all the protesters, a pizza shop can not be racist, an employee can be but once the employee was fired that is it, I am sure on the job application there was not a racist yes or no box to check.

The accusations of racism against the Trump family go back to a 1973 lawsuit claiming that Fred and son Donald were discriminating against black people who wanted to rent their apartments. It's a long story but I am sure your Google abilities are as good as mine.

Again, I am not really interested in the debate, given that you and I will not agree on basic facts. All I am saying is that the business really didn't make good PR decisions after the initial incident, and that's on them. If I was operating a pizza parlor in Cranberry I would think twice before alienating Trump supporters (which, by the way, is one of many reasons why I choose not to open a Cranberry pizza parlor...), and likewise if I owned a business in the city of Pittsburgh I would be cautious about aligning myself with the president, especially on the heels of the ****hole controversy.

Everything’s about Trump. People are obsessed with the man. It is amazing how his name comes about in a Pittsburgh pizza shop incident, though.

If you don't want to click the link I posted above, the answer is that the daughter of the pizza parlor owner used Twitter to reach out to Trump and ask for his help, and the Internet noticed.
