0-12 in ACC after tonight's 24-point loss to Clemson. Best chance to get first win of the 2018 calendar year looks to be on Feb. 21st when Pitt hosts Wake Forest in a battle of the ACC doormats.

UConn now plays in a conference that is mid-major level at best. They chose to develop a Div I football program, so they were shoved out of the BE basketball conference during the breakup and forced into the AAC. I can't imagine that transition has helped them any.
Hasn't seemed to hurt Cincinnati, who still goes to the NCAAs every year, and is sitting in the Top 10. The team that won the title was recruited, and put together by Jim Calhoun. If this were just a case of UConn failing in the postseason, you might be able to blame the league, but UConn has become road kill for average teams in the AAC. That's on the coach.

***sigh*** Stallings is not worth whatever they are paying him. I doubt he could coach a Sun Belt team.

If the Sun Belt team was starting 5 freshmen against teams who have several NBA picks and others who will make a living overseas you`re probably right.

Less than 5K at the Pete today to take in Stallings 13th straight loss. This from the AP sums up the current states of both programs:

Quote:
Louisville hasn't lost to Pittsburgh since 2010, winning 12 in a row against the struggling Panthers. The last three Louisville wins have been an average margin of 38.3 points, including the 55-point rout of Pitt last season.

So what does that say? Stallings can't recruit? He can't rely on bad seasons giving him early draft round picks.

Pitt managed to turn a 15 point lead into a 23 point loss last night against Boston College. 0-14 now in conference play.

btw its stallings job, one of his main duties, to fill the team with good players.

him having terrible players is not a good defense of him, for why he loses by 30 every single game.

At half-time
Pitt 28
WF 27

If Stallings wins this game, will he try to boast that he has the program turning around?
