Hi all,

I'm a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon, and I'm taking a course in advanced journalism this semester. One of the stories we have to write is a narrative, and I'm having a hard time finding a good one.

So, if you've got a good, true story to tell, I'd be interested in writing it. Would be best if it ties into a current local or national issue (mortgage fraud, drink tax, gentrification, election, Iraq War etc.), but that's not a requirement.

I decided to post here after reading the thread on the family that wanted to move to Homewood despite all the violence. I'm looking for that sort of thing. Any idea what happened to those folks?

A face-to-face interview with me would be a must for this. I've written for the Trib and the Erie Times-News in the past, so it'd be professional all the way. The piece would be for class only unless we agree that I can publish it.

If you can help, post your contact info or e-mail gvg@andrew.cmu.edu.

Thanks so much,

Greg

P.S. If you haven't got a narrative, do you know of a local issue that deserves coverage in the media but isn't getting it? Post or e-mail about that, as well.
