I lived in the apt. right next door on Bower Hill rd. It was a great little dive bar and even had a small convenience store at one time. Everything a bachelor could want!

Could have been Free Beer if I'd have known who you were.

I do know the building, one of my friends lived there in 82 I think.

I helped open the "Deli" as it was once called.

Always ended up working Import Night. Buck a bottle as I recall.

Haven't thrown Darts much since leaving there.

Yes, I lived in the northern part of Mt. Lebanon off of Cochran Road for years. Back in the 1980s before the new airport terminal, I often left my house less than 40 minutes before a flight ( I had a lot of 7am flights). I took Greentree Road to Forsythe and got on the Parkway West at Carnegie. No question you can make if from this area to RMU at almost any time of the day in 20 minutes. That is a huge difference from McCandless to Mount Lebanon during rush hour.

Mt lebo is a big area, without knowing the exact address it is hard to guess a commute time.

Yes. I would suggest living in the area near Lincoln Elementary and Beverly Road. A quick shot down Banksville to 279. Forget about the St. Clair Hospital area .. too far.

There's no quick shot down Banksville during rush hour, and you'd be going in the wrong direction. The Vanadium to 79 route would be the way to go.

Google Maps says it is 5 minutes faster from Lincoln School to Moon to take Cochran Road to Greentree to Forsythe to the Carnegie entrance to the Parkway West.

The second fastest route is Scrubgrass Road to the Kirwan Heights entrance.
