I noticed when the summer rolls around in the summer in Pittsburgh where I live normally in the suburbs I smell this terrible odor outside when it is a really really hot day. I’m not sure if you guys know what I’m talking about but the smell normally comes out in the late morning/early afternoon. Again when the weather is super hot. I don’t really smell it to much on the city though I smell different scents in the air downtown.

Which suburbs are you talking about? Could it just be the new mulch your neighbors put down?

Does it smell like burning metal mixed with a little sulfer?

Most odors are much stronger when it's hot and humid. Many go from undetectable to humans in winter to unpleasant in summer.
