Not an offense warranting being shot dead on the spot, at least under the criminal laws I am familiar with.

I mentioned that he was running away to illustrate the point that he was not a threat to the police, not to justify the shooting.

Agreed.

It would be different if this male had turned and was pointing a gun at the officer or something, but I have yet to see evidence confirming this. If the male was seriously just running from the vehicle, then that is not grounds for a lethal takedown.

It doesn't look good. Let's wait until we pass judgement. It's too early in the game. Of course, people will only believe what they want to regardless.

The video is clear: the kid is running away, and gets shot in the back.

Well that's pretty revealing. The kid did not deserve to die. Just goes to show that one needs to be mindful of the company that they keep. Doing the wrong thing can never lead to a good outcome.

According to the Allegheny County Police Department, Rose got out of a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle seen near a shooting that occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Kirkpatrick Avenue in North Braddock.

The vehicle, which police said had damage from bullets to the back window, was stopped near Grandview Avenue and Howard Street.
What should have been done? Clearly shooting him 3 times as he is fleeing isn't right, but should all shooting suspects be permitted to flee? How do you take them into custody?
