Rain is the same thing as snow? Damn pass me some of that dope you are smoking. Snow is beautiful, bright and accusticly pleasing. Rain is awful. This rain just won’t stop.

You’re presenting your opinion as if it’s fact (“rain is awful”). Plenty people react to snow like you do to rain. Plenty of people also either directly enjoy the beauty of rain or at least indirectly enjoy its beauty (rivers, waterfalls, rainbows).

After the kids get to trick or treat in a downpour tomorrow on a bright note, we will probably be up to the 6th rainiest year on record and most likely will end up in the top three before year's end. Wow, talk about a TON of rain. Over 48" which is about 16" above normal.

Sure sucks, but probably the new norm for our region as we have the worst weather in the country.

Here's picture I took yesterday at North Park. Granted we've had a slightly sub-par fall as far as color goes, but millions of Americans never get to see fall colors like this. It's one of the many perks of our "horrible" climate. I'm pretty sure PA has the longest fall foliage period in the country.

You've never lived anywhere else right? Why not? Only children and the poor have a reason to stay in an area they hate - no alternative.

There are plenty of places with blazing sun most days.

And all the time spent on this thread could have been used to develop a moving plan

I just heard on kdka to expect .25" to .5" over the next few days. If that's right, and having lived in FL for 20 years, you call that a lot of rain? In Tampa, it was common to get 2 to 3" over a couple hours in the afternoon. That would also include lots of thunder and lightning. The streets would flood. No one even commented on it.

Man I hear you. I can't stand people who whine about where they live and never do anything about it. Some people are just miserable everywhere.

"But there are so many reasons why I have to stay".

No there aren't. Leave. Or shut up.
