The point of the thread was a record breaking year. I started it a long time ago to show we were on track for a record. We hit a record. I don't care how much rain anyplace gets to be honest. We get VERY little if any sunshine at all. NYC gets WAY more sun. Sure they get some huge rain from the ocean when conditions are right, but please. We are in one of the WORST places for nice weather, unless you love cloud cover. We have plenty of that.

HERE YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, please stop pretending about our weather. We are the cloudiest city in the entire USA. THE CLOUDIEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Number one!!!!!!!!!

I let the thread die since we hit the record, but for some reason people keep pretending we have better weather than other cities. WE DON'T, unless of course you like clouds ALL the time. If you love cloud cover daily this is a great city for that.

Take a walk in the woods right now. You better bring hip-waders! The mud will be up to your knees in many places. Then we will have the MASSIVE tick epidemic because it is so mild this year. Yep, the good old lyme disease.

Now if you want to keep going, good luck. I have more than enough ammunition. When you live in the cloudiest area in the entire US, it is pretty easy to win every time. Good luck though.

Better weather is all an opinion, so no one is pretending. Clear/Cloudy I dont care. I love some heat in the summer and changing seasons and cool/cold in the winter. Wishing for some snow, would like a few good storms like a few years ago. Rain, ah dont love it but this year is a record which means it is out of the norm for this much.

Now since I am always positive, I do want to put things in perspective to make everyone feel great as I usually do. Pittsburgh is the cloudiest city in the US, BUT not the world. Pittsburgh gets 2,021.30 hours of sun a year. Compare that to the cloudiest places in the world and we are great. We live in paradise for sure!!

Rank City Hours of Sunshine Per Year
1 Torshavn, Faroe Islands 840
2 Chongqing, China 1054
3 Sao Joaquim, Brazil 1065
4 Dikson, Russia 1164
5 Malabo, Equatorial Guinea 1176
6 Lima, Peru 1230
7 Reykjavik, Iceland 1236
8 Usuaia, Argentina 1281
9 Taipei, Taiwan 1405
10 Edinburgh, United Kingdom 1427
11 Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Saint-Pierre 1427
12 Dublin, Ireland 1,453
13 Sapporo, Japan 1466
14 Copenhagen, Denmark 1539
15 Pointe-Noire, Congo 1574
