And that would be entertaining! The real test is coming this December. If they can stay healthy and not go through their annual slump (which seems to have already happened in weeks 1-3), those Christmas season games could be memorable.

The football season is just so much fun, if you have at least a competitive team.

When you don't even need to play a game to take first place in the AFC North...

They’ve only beat 1 team that has a winning record and I understand you can only play the teams put in front of you, but they need to get a lot better to be competitive, unless a decent regular season record and winning the division by attrition is the goal.

Kind of funny, but indeed they are in first place. I think they will win the division, but they aren't the team to beat the Patriots, unless they really improve.

Conner > Bell

In 7 games Conner has 127 carries for 599 yards, which is a 4.7 average and 9 touchdowns. He also has 31 catches for 323 yards, which is a 10.4 average. Conner also has 922 all purpose yards and he already has 3 games where he has rushed for over 100 yards and had 50+ yards receiving, which Bell only did once last season. I think if Bell comes back he should be the backup and I think his value is sinking.

Do they have to take Bell back if he shows up? Just get rid of him.

Conner has 404 yards against the Browns. If he plays them a few more times this season he might sniff 1900+ yards.

He’s still not better than Bell and nobody that truly follows the NFL believes Bell’s value is sinking, and only those scorned by him want it to sink and see him not get paid.

They want him back and they won’t get rid of him. Tomlin will have him starting when he gets back, but the Stiller’s should’ve traded him before the season or lowered their asking price for him when they were trying to trade him. The problem is that if Conner goes down we’re absolutely screwed without a quality RB so Bell isn’t going anywhere until after the season.

Also, Tomlin has a history of running a RB right into the ground, so unless they would pick someone up, Bell will be playing here until the end of the season unless a crazy trade does happen or unless he gets hurt.

They were only asking a 3rd rounder...
impossible to 'lower their asking price'.

Spoiler
They get a 3rd round compensatory when he leaves on his own accord after the season
