Yeah my Dad moved from Pgh about 50 years ago when he was 19 to NJ, he never stopped talking about Clemente and he was always adding items related. He had wanted to paint the Clemente Bridge but never did get the time.

My dad's been gone for a few years now, and moved away from Pgh long before that, but never stopped respecting Clemente. We went to Cooperstown when I was a kid and seeing that memorial was the most important part of the visit for him.

Very nice, bet my dad would have been the same. He's been gone a few years as well, he wasnt a traveler though so wouldnt have wanted to actually make the trip but maybe for Clemente he would have.

Clemente was an awesome player. I saw him get his 3000 hit at Three Rivers Stadium. He was a hell of a fielder too with an arm that could throw even the fastest out at home. Don't forget that he played the majority of his career in Forbes Field which makes the ball parks today seem dinky by comparison and that throw from right field was sometimes very long.
