ive lived in my house for going on 16 yrs the people that moved in next door to me about 6 yrs ago, they are absolutely slobs they've had garbage and furniture left on their porch since the day they moved in. They constantly have all kinds of cars which the husband keeps coming home with? he currently has 3-4 cars in their driveway all not running with weeds growing out of them and hoods up. then he bought another car that he parks in front of his house and his wifes car also and he also has another car now. And now off and on will try to park in front of my house directly, after ive told him if he didn't mind to not park in front of my house since I don't have a driveway , im actually the only house on the street that doesn't. so this has been going on for about 3 yrs ive recently bought a new vechicle and I come home and one of his many cars is parked in front of my house after I am gone for 12hrs a day I don't want to come home and deal with this. ive called the Aliquippa boro that I live in and they told me if there is cars on his property there is nothing I can do unless they have expired stickers or plates and its been checked before by myself and mu husband. They were to have someone come up and check but don't even know if that ever happened . so is there anything I can do about this. Ive knocked on their door for them to come out and move the car . and they purposely don't answer the door or the wife will say oh I don't have my keys .

Sadly, no. You don't own the street and you bought a house without a driveway.

Where do you live? I’d like to come park in front of your house. Home ownership grants you no intrinsic right to public property.

You don't own the street in front of your house, so you're not guaranteed that parking space.

The issue with trash and junk furniture is different, since that can attract vermin and is probably against some kind of code. Contact your city councilperson's office and see if they have any guidance.

I don`t know where you live but in my town (Tarentum) you`re allowed to have only one uninspected vehicle trashing up your yard or driveway. An uninspected car parked on the street will be towed after 30 days.

This is Pittsburgh. I could go on and on about nightmare neighbors and street parking.

Your house has nothing to do with a public street (unless it is a zoned area, which in that case you need a zone sticker to park). When I lived in Pittsburgh, I had some disgruntled individual leave a note on my car about how I shouldn't park in front of his house (I curiously have NEVER heard of this happening since being in Chicago). As others have said, individual home owners have no right whatsoever to reserve a parking spot on a public street in front of their home. Think how ridiculous parking would be if every house in Pittsburgh demanded that they have a street spot reserved for them in front of their home. The garbage is a different issue, but unless you live in a zoned area and the person doesn't have an appropriate zone sticker, they have complete authority to park wherever they want on the street.

1. they can park in front of your house if the want.
2. if their yard is really as terrible as you say, then you can report them. if it isn't perfect, nothing will happen. If it is a violation of real codes, then they'll be fined if they don't fix them.
3. they can still park in front of your house after they remove the cars and weeds from their driveway and yard.
