Certainly not terrible odds, and the Lightning who many picked are also down 3-0 to a team with the longest odds.

Thank you Penguins for 13 great years. Time to get rid of everyone and rebuild with young players. Hard to do, but it is the only way. just too old to compete now. Great run!
Ummmmm- the Islanders finished ahead of the Pens in the standings, so that would make them a top team.

These guys aren't that old. They just have some bad contracts now. They are going to have to make a major Letand, Malkin, Kessel type move. They need more size and speed. Their defensemen are overrated.

The Penguins screwed their way out of another Stanley Cup. They dropped Game 4 to the New York Islanders 3-1 and were eliminated in a four-game sweep.

Here is what happened with the Penguins:
  • They lost games earlier in the season and went stale. There were weeks they were outside looking in.
  • I am bored by floating and coasting, finesse passing, and killing power plays with shorthanded goals allowed.
  • Letang reverted back to playing bad and provided reasons why Erik Karlsson is needed.
  • One goal and done games do not result in wins.
  • Mike Sullivan lacked balls and discipline to go out on his players for not winning.

"Screwed their way out of a cup"??

There was barely if ever a moment this season this year looked like they could go all the way. They need to realize you're not the fastest anymore like two years ago and need to make changes.

Yes, the Penguins screwed their way out of the Cup. Not stepping up and battling to get into the playoffs were evident for reasons aforementioned.

lmao@ the idea that the Penguins were considered cup contenders in 18-19.

Quit being such a homer.

They lack depth and a championship-quality goalie. They won't be considered serious contenders again until they address these issues...

They already have a 2 time Stanley Cup winning championship quality goalie.

Keep telling yourself that.
Maybe it will carry you through the coming years of inevitable disappointment!

Inevitable disappointment? You must be thinking of the Pirates. The Penguins just won 2 recent Cups.
