Hello all:

What are the most bohemian, active, liberal neighborhoods near the CBD.

Primarily the ones with local retail and dining areas with easy access to downtown.

Thank you for your help.

There are plenty, including the North Shore, the South Side, Downtown, the Strip, Oakland, Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, Friendship, Shadyside, East Liberty, Squirrel Hill, Point Breeze, and Regent Square.

Of course these days bohemianism comes in a lot of different flavors: you have the true artist-types, hipsters, "bourgeois bohemians" (aka Bobos), and so on. So, depending on the mix you are looking for, any of these neighborhoods could be a closer or farther fit.
