How does one get into the event/party planning business? I think it would seem tougher in Pittsburgh because there aren't as many events or parties to plan here....

Um honestly, be a hot girl.
Almost every big bar/club has an event planner for their happy hours and birthday parties and every party I've thrown at a bar, the planner was a young, hot girl (and I'm a girl, I'm just looking at it objectively).
Maybe a degree in PR or something like that would help.
