Looking good so far. The starting pitching has been superb. If Kela hadn't been so horrible, we might have a nice early lead.

Look better with Glasnow and Meadows numbers in Pirates uniforms, especially with Kela being so lousy.

You have to give something to get something. Archer looks good, and I can't complain when they actually spent a little money making that deal.

Archer is going to be on the team for 2 more years at the most which is not near near as long as Glasnow or Meadows would’ve. As to spending a little money, they’ve spent very little.

Let’s just hope that if they’re in a position to actually win something of significance they don’t replicate 2016 and give up. After all, Marte, Dickerson, Polanco, etc..., aren’t going to be on the team much longer, and there’s going to be players going to arb very soon.

Starting pitching has been spectacular but it will certainly level out.

Offense is an issue. OBP is the real way to measure a player getting on base but since average was brought up, the Pirates batting .230 as a team has to go up to have continued success.

I have never seem the park so empty as last night. Not sure what the reason as it was a lovely evening. our group made the Jumbotron 4 times since they pretty much made the rounds to everyone in attendance.

pitching sure didn't look great on our end last evening. Hope it was a fluke.

Attendance has dropped significantly since giving up in 2016 and declaring “bridge year” and “financial flexibility” after winning 98 games in 2015. Last season was a record low attendance in PNC Park history.

They’re going to have to consistently win and prove to the fans they have lost that they’re actually in it to win it, even if it’s going to cost money to do it.

agreed. but I have been to a few games since 2016 and last night was almost eerily empty. Felt more like a spring training game with how little people were in attendance. There were literally entire sections without a single person. by the 7th inning stretch, id bet there were under 1k people in the whole park.

Wow. Was a beautiful night for a ballgame so certainly can’t blame the weather.
