Yes, please say all of these things. Let me know the time and date of the hearing, and I'll hope that the magistrate laughs in your face

I suggest you go sit in traffic court before your appearance and then decide what to do.

OP here. As an update, I pleaded not guilty on the ticket. Received a traffic court date.

Dressed up in a suit and tie, prepared a statement. When I was called in, I didn't even have to say anything. The judge knocked it down to a 5mph over, took $50 off my fine, and removed all points on my license.

Take that, you naysayers.

The only possibility of losing the points that I?€™m aware of is to ?€œfight?€? the ticket, and you?€™re going to lose....but when you go into see the judge, sincerely plead your case about the points and your insurance. Very good chance your offense will be knocked down to 5mph over the speed limit which won?€™t result in any points, and you?€™ll even get some money back.
I wasn’t a naysayer

You still haven't said who gave you the ticket.

State police is most likely the only way this doesn’t work.

It was a state trooper. The trooper didn't show up to court.

Wow. Not saying the outcome would’ve been different, but that’s lucky for sure.

Judge was probably doing 20 over on 376 on the way into court that morning. That section between Rodi Road and the Turnpike is Bigelow Blvd: Highway Edition. If you're not doing 20 over in that section you're liable to create a safety issue.

Not me !

Show up in a coat and tie, admit to exceeding the limit, agree to pay the fine but ask if the points could be eliminated or cut in half. Can't hurt.
