No, it's not the same DiCarlo's. Definitely owned by different people.

Also, Beto's on Banksville Road does the same kind of pizza as Dicarlo's with cold cheese. Good, if you like that or want something different.

Beto's might be the strangest pizza, and I use the term loosely, I have ever eaten.

I've been pizza-depressed since Roberto's Pizza in Bellevue (formerly Regina's Margarita Pizza in Lawrenceville) left town to go win awards in NYC. Anybody know of a good, wood-fired, Margarita pizza in town? I'm talking 800 degree oven, fresh tomato and basil with real mozzarella, kosher salt floating in dark green olive oil. Anyone?

Il Pizzaiolo in Mt. Lebanon and Azzeria on Banksville Rd both do decent woodfired pizza.

I think Enrico's in the strip has this type of Pizza. They are on Penn Ave between 20th and 21st.

There's a lot of great "square" pizza in Steubenville. Many people probably don't consider that part of Pittsburgh but it's closer than some of the "suburbs." Take the Parkway West to 22 West and you'll run right into it (40 minutes from Downtown Pittsburgh).

Anyway...if you're ever there...try Iggy's, Giannamore's, Bruno's, DiCarlo's (same people that own the one in Wheeling), Pittera's, Ray's, and there's some others that I can't think of off the top of my head. Corrado's in the mall is similar to Ray's brand in New York City. There's some other family-owned Italian restaurants in Steubenville/Weirton that are great, too.
