I would say so - particularly because not all of Penn Plaza's units were occupied at the time.

The community group formed by former Penn Plaza residents did show up at the URA meeting and complain about not being involved in the decision-making process though. Still, the URA voted in support, and noted that the Walnut Capital plan they picked had the most affordable units overall.

Gumberg just handled the situation in a ****ty way - although they were legally in the right - and it's going to be brought up with every new housing development in East Liberty over the next 10-15 years.

No matter how anything is handled everything negative to the progress will be brought up. Same old same old.

Glad you posted that development. The area is going to be VERY different in 5 or so years. Club One and across the street at the Giant Eagle that is in need of removal.
