I thought about a thread where people can post briefly on their daily adventures, stories, jokes, photos of their kids' art, their pets acting zany with joy that they have company all day.....anything except stories of toilet paper, crowded parks, politics, and whatnot.

If there is an English major out there that can come up with a better thread title, have at it!

Today I walked around one of the most fascinating, interesting, beautiful, yet ugly at times neighborhoods in the world - the South Side Slopes. And because I'm an idiot, I can't see how to upload the camera shots I took! oh well....

Ah I spent the day clearing out our study to redo the flooring while I'm home. I also took some time to play with my new drone at my house.

Did you happen to take your drone over to Bellevue? I went out for a walk at 5ish and noticed a drone pretty high up around then.

No, my first time flying. I pretty much went straight up at my house and did a little close flying at house level. I could goto 400 feet but I only went 250ft since it was a used system and I didnt want to push it before I felt comfortable. I know there is a older man in Avalon and he was out flying today. I am going to meet up and fly with him when things are settled down again.

I am a little further west in Ben Avon just up from the firehouse. The picture looking to the city you are seeing Ben Avon and into Avalon.

Strangest thing: I went for a walk around my neighborhood yesterday and I saw a lot more people outside than I usually see, including kids, who you usually never see outside. There were a few people sitting out in their driveway around a firepit, in the middle of day. This place is usually pretty desolate, I felt like I was back in the city.

I was on Route 19 north of Cranberry early AM. Looks like a scene from a sci-fi flick, no one out.

I have noticed that more neighbors who previously didn't talk to one another now are doing so (from a safe distance). It is nice to see strangers talking on the street and neighbors talking to neighbors in an area that has seemingly become less neighborly over the past decade.

Got up very early this morning to go for a walk in Frick before the masses gathered. My regular Hiking buddy (age 70) and I have not been out in over 2 weeks because two weeks ago today she had a hip replaced. Today was her first walk in the park since her surgery. We had a very pleasant little walk in the rain. Maybe our last for a while with the "stay home, and we mean it this time" announcement this afternoon.
