It seems to be mostly white people, so I'm sure you don't like it. Except for people who come to be students at CMU I suppose, but I doubt that many of them stick around after graduation.

Well, given that tech employment seems to be constantly expanding, it seems reasonable to assume at least some CMU kids are staying. You can’t really have everyone at the company be the department head.

Some, but not that many. Top destination is Boston, followed by Chicago and Los Angeles. Pittsburgh is 7th.

Interesting indeed

I'm black, and even though I heard about the "issues" blacks face in Pittsburgh, I'm thisclose to moving back to PA, and my #1 choice is Pittsburgh. Maybe not city limits, but the area. My decision will be made tomorrow morning.

I got relatives in Philly so it'll be closer than where I am right now.

Besides, in these times I gotta go where the jobs are. Especially in my industrial blue collar field.

I'm white so obviously dont know the issues outside of what I hear. I am curious what issues are here that you might not find in most other areas? I'm not disputing anything, just curious because I feel like most issues still exist regardless where we are talking about.

Just from a few posters on this forum about "muh racism" especially in the South Hills, how hard it is for blacks to get ahead or even respected, etc. It's not really a big deal.

Contrary to what “a few posters on this forum about muh racism”, they think every white person is racist and most every post they make is a racial accusation.

Great for you in regards to “it’s not really a big deal”.
