Many farms also basically do consignment too. My wife's friend has beef/chicken on their farm which they sell but a neighbor farm has dairty/goats which they make cheese. The one farmer brings the cheese and other products with her to sell for the other.

Well some markets are now also starting to serve food that is not prepackaged. The Health department is allowing it but it still depends on the specific market if they are comfortable. I know the City market just started allowing this past weekend.

That is great. I need to pick up some mangos, bananas and starfruit. I suspect they will have them since they get most of their crap from the same place as Whole Foods.

You’ve obviously never been to a farmers market.

Yeah, try going to a farm market and look. The majority of fruit/veggies are coming from actual local/semi local farms so you are going to find what is grown here which might be earlier than you expect if they start in a greenhouse. Sure some sketchy or desperate markets might just let anyone but most take their vendors very serious and so do the other vendors. If someone just wanted to resell old grocery fruit most markets would kick them out.
