Hi. I am thinking of possibly buying a house in Heidleberg and I was wondering if it is a safe area. I was looking at a house on E Railroad street. I've heard some areas around there are bad but I wasn't sure if the area I was looking into was. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

No, Heidelberg is quite safe. They have a small but active police force, and while there are some young kids who occasionally cause some minor trouble in the neighborhood, there's no serious crime within the entire borough. There are many older homeowners in the area and like I said the police maintain a pretty visible presence. I really wouldn't think twice about moving there if safety is your only concern.
