I would agree that the % sunshine stat is the best available. Could you post that link, Brian, since you found it, apparently? I have a dickens of a time finding stuff on the NWS website.

I always just google it. Here is what I found searching for Buffalo (it has Pittsburgh data too):

Default raining *again*

I heard it's raining again.

It's supposed to rain all throughout the entire weekend too.

Oh come on, this weather is fine. I was in Rapid City last week as they were forecasting 8-14 inches of snow to fall. In fact I hope it pours to clean the pollen out of the air!

It has overall been a lovely spring. Yesterday evening was particularly nice--clear and just the right temperature. We took our two-year-old son to the playground at Forbes and Braddock, and played with lots of neighborhood kids. Meanwhile, there were two Little League games going on in the ballfields. Our son is fascinated with baseball, and one of the coaches came over and gave him a baseball to play with. It was a great evening.

Well, if it didn't rain we wouldn't have such lovely green trees and plants, not to mention GREEN GRASS. Luckily we don't have to waste water by watering lawns like people in the SW.
