PPS, can't start when they want because they don't have enough laptops. People too busy protesting to lend a hand? Seems protesting is a lot easier than actually doing something that will make a difference. Sad. Meanwhile in the powerful suburb schools, not problem at all. The superintendent makes a pile of money. No help? Peduto? Other powerful figures making a ton? ha, ha. Where are they? No where to be found.

Lol at the “entire region”. I’ve stated the truth for years.

I find the city dumpy which is why I moved out of it and into the burbs. Now I have excellent weather most all year now and I’ll only be visiting the city a few times a year, plus I expect the city to get worse, so perfect time to spend much less time there.

White people told themselves that bull**** in order to sleep at night.

Suburban schools don't have such a high percentage of the student body which doesn't have regular access to a computer at home.

Geez. That is news to me. The people bumming money on the streets have big dollar smart phones. Didn’t know.

It’s a one week delay. Some of the Mon Valley schools are dealing with the same problem. Students who already own computers are encouraged to use those, so naturally this will have more of an impact on East Allegheny than Aspinwall.

You can't do the coursework on a phone. A tablet works, but less people have tablets. And I'm pretty sure you can't do it on a playstation or whatever.

Also keep in mind while most middle/high school kids probably have phones of some kind, elementary school age kids don't. And if you have multiple kids, you will need a device for each one, since they'll have classes simultaneously.

My wife and I both have laptops, and we have a total of four tablets in the house (though three of them are finicky). We still got a laptop for our daughter from the district because they instructed us to ask for one provided she didn't have a dedicated personal computer.
