If they didn’t, would that make it okay for violating the Clean Water Act?

I mean it’s not like the city doesn’t have clean water issues or anything, already.

I wasn't suggesting that it was right, or legal. I just asked the question to add some perspective to the discussion.

If it's really a big deal, how do you square it with this? https://www.city-data.com/forum/pitt...-thriving.html

Doubtful that it would be hidden for 7 years, or the feds would be involved if it wasn’t a big deal.

The water would be even cleaner.

i drink municipal water - sure, filtered through the fridge, but basically tap water, beatches.

and, according to WTAE's news tonight, there is no knowledge or indication that PWSA management knew about this. this dumb ass loser - it was his own negligence or not caring.

The city’s water has been a known issue for years, and still is.

PWSA admitted guilt and accepted a plea. Thinking they didn’t know what was going on for 7 years, and one person was acting on his own, is quite the unbelievable story.

these are federal charges. serious stuff (except to hard core trump people, probably) that affects the common good. and - its water, not that someone's internet is too slow (whaaa!). i hope there are serious penalties.

a couple years ago, some asshat threw something into the Highland Park reservoir. was it a chair or maybe a dead dog? or a dead deer? i cant remember, but all those things sound familiar. maybe im on drugs and have someone slipping it into my drink.

Yep, already said when the feds are involved that they’re serious charges.

Someone throwing something into a reservoir has zero to do with 7 years of PWSA wrongdoing.

Where's bearded bastard Bike Lane Billy been these days? Quiet as a mouse, hoping no more protestors outside his house?

Right. It went on for 7 years, what’s another few days or weeks....and you don’t want to draw bad publicity to an area.
