One of the worst mayors in the continental US. Doubt he will win and have a slew of more qualified challengers.

He'a got that "D" behind his name, that's all that matters in Pittsburgh.
The virtue signaling SJW warriors in the East End will vote for him, along with the vast array of clueless, low information drones all over the city who don't know any better, from the hipsters in Lawrenceville to the city "workers" in Beechview.
The decline of a once great city continues.

Of course he'll win, because who else would win the Democratic primary? Satan himself could walk the Earth, and he'd be elected the Mayor of Pittsburgh if he figured out a way to win the Democratic primary.

A slew of people could do a better job of being Mayor - I'll never dispute that. But are they throwing their hats in the ring? No..

That’s very true. However the same can be said for a lot of republicans and Trump supporters. Peduto and trump could incite riots and never loose support or be held accountable. I see a lot of parallels with Peduto and trump supporters.

I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Peduto. I voted against him in both Democratic primaries. But the fact of the matter is mayors tend to win reelection until they:

1. Are embroiled in some sort of scandal.
2. Reach term limits (in states where it's applicable).
3. Decide they have had enough terms.
4. Die.

My guess is Peduto has primary challenges from both the right and left of the Democrats locally, but once again defeats them handily, because he is an incumbent and broadly represents the center of the Pittsburgh Democratic primary electorate.
