there are two points - one which is obvious, the city is no longer generating extreme wealth

the other point is the rich people who are trying to sell these homes haven't figured out the first point which is why they have ridiculous prices tags on the homes pictured

And I don’t think you’ve proven either one.

Gonna have to say the sellers probably understand most things in life much better than you are assuming.

another multi-million dollar mansion that recently got taken off market

https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...2_M32112-16518

it's like this city has a entire class of people who are filthy rich and yet completely clueless about the city they live in, which is very different situation than we had in the last century where families like MELLON and HEINZ were actively trying to make the city a better place for their workers

I guess the only way out for them is to divide the homes into apartments or have a fire sale.

Was there a time when these types of homes flew off the market? If i had 2 million plus to spend on a home i am building my own.

Most rich people I know are far from clueless.

You obviously are not well-versed in what makes a vintage home desirable. The home you speak of is by and far the nicest most beautiful home. Worth even more than it's asking price. A true work of art that no company could duplicate. I could destroy any McMansion of today with my bare hands. Hurricane Sally couldn't touch the 1313 Mockingbird Lane home.

This thread is just ridiculous. Expensive homes are expensive. Very limited market. Has nothing to do whether they are overpriced, or robber barons of centuries past. Just more flake political correctness job jab nonsense talk.

Hey, now. I probably fall under what you’d consider the “political correctness” crowd, and I agree that his theories are nonsense.
